Dear participants,

        First of all to thank you for taking the time to participate “Prospective Therapy of Metabolism Syndrome, Rare Disease and Dysfunctional Mitochondria _ 10th International Symposium of Genomic Medicine in Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH)/4th International Symposium of Australasian College of Medical Sciences and Research -Taiwan Branch (ACMSR-TW) / 2016 Annual Meeting of Taiwan Society for Mitochondrial Research and Medicine (TSMRM)” at September 24th to 25th at Changhua city, Taiwan. This year's seminar is mainly organized by Changhua Christian Hospital, Medical college of Humanities and Health Sciences Academy, Vascular and Genomic Research Center of Changhua Christian Hospital, Department of Genomic Medicine of Changhua Christian Hospital, Taiwan Society for Mitochondrial Research and Medicine and Australasian College of Medical Sciences and Research (ACMSR)-Taiwan Branch. TSMRM mainly integrates Taiwan mitochondrial research resources and promotes the mitochondrial research from basic research to clinical. Through the organization and holding of the annual congress, we look forward to recruit new blood and expand society of visibility in international research. This year conference for the first time presented by the Changhua Christian hospital and co-sponsored by ACMSR-Taiwan Branch and TSMRM. It will be desired to get the maximum benefits from research sharing through the integration of mitochondrial research between the north and south Taiwan. ACMSR-Taiwan Branch was established at year 2013, the purpose is to joint national personnel engaged in medical research, promote research in medicine and education, assist international cooperation links related to academic groups and advocate the medical humanities and vulnerable care. I am honored to have the opportunity to participate the organization of the general assembly meeting. This year meeting will focus on mitochondrial therapy in three themes involving mitochondrial medicine, rare disease and metabolic syndrome. Through the latest knowledge sharing from our invited dozens of domestic and foreign scholars, experts and clinicians, we believe it will benefit to promote international exchanges and cooperation. Finally, thanks again to all participators and attendants in the meeting and wish the meeting completed success.
