Erlin Branch Hospital
Outpatient Department: Offers over 20 clinical specialty and subspecialty departments, receives approximately 1,000 patient-visits daily. Emergency department: Provides round the clock emergency service and receives approximately 2,900 patient-visits monthly. Number of inpatient beds: a total of 269 Number of employees: 370 Erhlin Branch Hospital was originally Erhlin Christian Hospital. It was founded on November 3, 1964. On December 1, 1980, CCH Superintendent Chen-Chun Wu inducted the hospital to become a branch hospital of CCH. It was reconstructed to become the present day 269 bed regional teaching hospital.
The hospital has been accredited as a regional teaching hospital since July of 1990. Its 15 specialty departments include internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, endocrinology and metabolism, urology, otolaryngology, dermatology, ophthalmology, family practice, dentistry, and rehabilitation medicine. To provide better access, the outpatient department holds evening office hours. The emergency department provides year-round service. And in addition to general wards, the inpatient unit also houses intensive care units, isolation ward, and dialysis room.

Lu-Tung Branch Hospital
  Under planning for over three years, the construction of the hospital has now received the Department of Health’s approval and is ready to begin. This psychiatry teaching hospital will consist of a 40-bed psychiatry daytime ward, a 40-bed acute psychiatric care ward, a 16-bed neurotic disorders ward, a 14-bed substance abuse rehabilitation ward, a 45-bed geriatric psychiatry ward, and a 135-bed chronic psychiatric care ward. The hospital’s completion and incorporation into the CCH health network is anticipated in 2008. The hospital will direct its services at the disadvantaged psychiatric patients and simultaneously promote community mental health. Emphasis will be placed on providing high quality care, promoting mental health education, and advancing research in the field of psychiatry.
